The services offered at The Wellness House are operated and owned by independent practitioners who have come together to learn and become more aware of the patients life and ‘dis-ease’ to focus on those aspects that require attention and to draw upon the relevant therapists and modalities of therapy that will produce the best results for the individual.
As we work towards developing the services delivery model with attention to the mental, emotional and social health of a person by a well co-ordinated multi-disciplinary team of health care services under the one roof we hope that it will be a step towards changing the future direction and culture of the health care industry.
Care outside normal opening hours
The Wellness House provides 24 hour emergency care for patients on a roster system shared by Dr Chen, Dr Sarathy and Dr Rani. If it is urgent please ring 0412 859 398, Orange Base Hospital on 6393 3000 or the Ambulance on 000.
Home and other visits
Home visits are available for regular patients of The Wellness House whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. If this service is required please ring 6391 5900 to a doctor on call
Telephone access
GPs may be contacted at the practice during regular working hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and the reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP will return your call. In an emergency your
Fees
The GPs at The Wellness House bulk-bill all patients with a Medicare number, Health Care card or Pension card
Getting the results of any test or procedure
Your doctor will advise you when they expect blood, x-ray or other
Reminder system
Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let your doctor or receptionists know.
Management of your personal health information
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of staff. We abide by the 10 National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.html.
Smoking policy
This practice has a no smoking policy.
